A Valentine For Your Home

Your house is not just bricks, mortar and wood; it is alive with chi or energy. In Feng Shui, the home is considered your larger body, and like your physical body, it too, has a heart or center.

Just like the body’s vital organ, the heart of your home, needs a strong beat and rhythm to establish vitality and harmony in all areas of your life.

Where is the heart of your home?

  • The heart of your home is the space/place that naturally you, your family and quests gravitate towards.
The heart space of your home is where you feel comfortable, safe and at ease.
  • In Feng Shui, it is the center of the house that is often aligned as the heart of the home. Draw a diagonal line from the front left to the back right and then from the back left to the front right. The intersection point is the location of the heart space.
  • It may be in a different space within your home. Traditionally, from ancient time, the family gathered around the fire. So, this heart or center of your home, for many of you, may be the kitchen area.

After you locate your homes’ heart space make sure it is as light, airy, and clean and clutter free as possible. You activate your homes heart in the same way you do your own, by saying “yes” to it. Place pictures of your family in this area, or a favorite item that makes you think of them. You can also place a quartz rose heart shape rock or any other thing that is a love or heart symbol for you. When your homes’ heart is open, demonstrated by a free, uninterrupted flow of energy, with an abundance of fresh air, beauty and a feeling of warmth, it radiates a clear path of chi or energy throughout the rest of the entire home. Remember a Happy Home equals a Happy Life!

There is no mistaking love. You feel it in your heart. It is the common fiber of life, the flame that heats our soul, energizes our spirit, and supplies passion to our lives.
– Elisabeth Kubler Ross

Have a beautiful Valentine’s Day.
